EDGE CHOICES:
Straight edge
Traditional look with large cutting edge. Suitable for
all uses but blade must be sharpened regularly if the
knife is used frequently.
Serrated edge
Serrations improve cutting ability although they are
not suitable where an accurate cut is required such as
when skinning. For this reason most blades are a combination
of serrated and straight to give the advantages of both
blade types.
Serrated edges cut quickly through car safety belts and
ropes.
FINISH CHOICES:
Satin
The traditional high-gloss, polished blade finish.
Coated
An extremely hard, thin ceramic coating such as boron
carbide is applied to the blade to give added protection
from corrosion. It also eliminates glare and so is useful
in hunting or in military applications.
